Dr. Jeffrey Du Bois, M.D.

Jeffrey J. Du Bois, M.D. is an SCC Alumnus who is now a pediatric surgeon. After attending SCC, he received his undergraduate degree from UC Davis and joined the U.S. Air Force where he obtained his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland. During his Air Force career he served a Residency in General Surgery at David Grant Medical Center on Travis AFB. During his time at SCC, Dr. Du Bois was a member of the water polo team that won the League Championship in 1974
This scholarship is named after two uncles of Dr. Du Bois: George J. and Kenneth L. Laird. They supported his journey through his years at SCC and College. His intent with the scholarship is to “repay them by paying it forward to someone, like my much younger self, just needing a helping hand to get started.”
