Redenbach Hope Scholarship

The Redenbach Hope Scholarship was established to encourage and support students that have not had the opportunity to take the usual path to college by graduating from a traditional High School. To qualify for this scholarship, the student must have graduated from an adult education program or a continuation high school, or have earned a General Educational Development (GED) high school equivalency credential as an adult learner without a high school diploma. In addition, the scholarship recipient must be working toward a teaching career at the K-12 level or higher education.

This scholarship was funded by Sandra Redenback, an SCC alumna who returned to school at the age of 26. She attended a local adult school to achieve her GED. She later graduated from SCC and UC Davis and became an educator, author, and education consultant.
