Dr. Jane M. Thompson Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Jane M. Thompson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003 by Susan Messina, Donna Anderson and Cynthia Seguin, to honor the memory of their colleague and friend. Dr. Jane M. Thompson was a respected teacher in the Business Division at Solano Community College for over 26 years. She retired from full-time teaching in 2002.

Dr. Jane M. Thompson was instrumental in introducing new technologies, curriculum, and methods of instruction to the Division. Dr. Thompson was also a champion of business education through her leadership in the California and National Business Education Associations. She was an advocate for business education as a Solano Community College Faculty Senator and as a member of the statewide Academic Senate Committee on Vocational Education. In all of these endeavors, Dr. Thompson strongly encouraged women students to enter and advance in the business world.
