Naomi "Chris" Christensen Memorial

Naomi “Chris” Christensen was a vocal and piano professor at Solano Community College from 1968 to the mid 1980?s. With passion and youthful energy she brought musical theater to the SCC music department in the early 1970?s. She was also instrumental in bringing the Solano Choral Society to the College. One of the highlights of her career was taking the SCC choir to St. Moritz, Switzerland in 1973 to the World Choir Festival. In the 1980?s she would be the first to bring opera to the SCC stage. She mentored many fine musicians during her career and was a great supporter of student success. She was also a long time member of the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra.
