Mooy-Durkin Memorial Scholarship

The Mooy Durkin Memorial Scholarship was established by Mr. and Mrs. Olin Mooy in memory of their daughter, Beth Mooy Durkin. Beth Mooy Durkin attended the University of South Alabama and took a job teaching third grade in Mobile when she graduated. Before long she had tenure, studied for her master’s degree, and continued teaching. She transferred to teaching first graders, which she preferred.
This scholarship is designated for someone planning a career in education.
