Bob Hamilton Scholarship

Bob Hamilton was a very popular geology teacher at Solano Community College. This scholarship was originally established by James DeKloe to honor the memory of his colleague, but several others have made donations over the years since it began.

A strong advocate for students, Bob Hamilton often helped his students in all of their math and science classes to be sure they would qualify to transfer to their chosen schools. He knew his students well and he wasn’t afraid to talk to their other teachers if he thought it would help his students.

This scholarship is awarded to a science student or a student intending to become a teacher.
