Osher Initiative for California Community College Students

Thanks to the generosity of The Bernard Osher Foundation, thousands of California Community College students, like you, may receive an Osher Scholarship as part of the California Community Colleges Scholarship Endowment. Mr. Osher’s vision is to “not only benefit the community college students of today but countless more for years to come.”

To qualify for this Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
Must fill in the income and expenses question after viewing the sample format for the answer.
-Must have completed 24 or more “degree applicable” semester units (or the equivalent) at the time of the initial scholarship disbursement.
-Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 or more units) during all semesters in which the award remains active.
-Must have received a CCC Board of Governor’s (BOG) Fee Waiver.

Awards will be adjusted based on enrolled status and determined as follows:
-Full-time (12 or more units per semester) = up to $725/semester
-Three-quarter-time (9-11.99 units per semester) = up to $543.75/semester
-Half-time (6-8.99 units per term) = up to $362.50/semester

Amount of Award: Annual Awards up to $1,450 each and will be pro-rated based on enrollment.

This scholarship is a renewable scholarship and students who are awarded, are eligible for two additional consecutive years (maximum of $3,300 or three years, whichever comes first), upon successful completion of coursework, and application submission, each year funding is requested.
